Danny Williams

Danny discovered his love of performing at an early age. Despite attempts at being a romantic lead, he was instead consistently cast in the comic roles. In college he found that he had a knack for improvisation.

In 1981, he wrote the lyrics and performed the vocals for the cult favorite song "Castro Boy". Despite it age, it is still played on college radio stations and has a large following. In fact, in 2007 it was a top hit in Amsterdam.

He began doing stand-up at the legendary Valencia Rose in San Francisco in 1982. As the years went by he won the Gay Community Award for Top Male Entertainer five times, the Cabaret Gold Award for Top Male Comic three times and the Cable Car Award for Entertainer of the Year,

He was also given both the Harvey Milk Award and the John L. Wasserman Award for his humanitarian works. Danny has made a lifelong commitment to performing at benefits with no remuneration. He has also served on the Board of Directors for four non-profit organizations.

Danny has performed with some of the top names in live performance. He has done his comedy in Canada, Europe and throughout the United States.

Danny is the playwright of "1970", which was about his years on the streets and the show "P.S. Bette Davis". He was part of The Happy-Go-Luckys with Marga Gomez and Monica Palacios.

Besides doing benefits, his greatest performing love has been on RSVP cruises. He has performed on around 200 RSVP travel events. This year marks his 22nd season with RSVP. Danny is delighted to know that there will be passengers on board who were born after he started with RSVP. Being part of RSVP has allowed Danny to meet amazing people, make lifelong friendships, travel the world and, hopefully, bring laughter to our incredible passengers.

Danny is lucky enough to have an amazing life partner, Brian Moser, who he met on an RSVP cruise. They were married in California - a marriage still recognized by the State. Danny is truly blessed to have this amazing man in his life.

Paul J. Williams

Cruise Director Paul J. Williams has been making people laugh since a very young age, and had his first RSVP appearance in 2001. Paul J. loves this quote from his idol, Lily Tomlin, "I realized early on that people were laughing at me....I decided 'hey, I might as well try to funny!'". His wit, rapid-fire comedy and wacky characters, including Sister Helen Holy and Nelda Pickens, make this multi-talented actor/comedian/singer in high demand. His humor draws on his family, his experiences as a single male, his Texas residency and his political and social observations of the world around him.

In 2009, his first television special, ONE NIGHT STAND UP-HOLLYWOOD premiered on the MTV/LOGO network. One of Paul J's lesser known talents is singing, as he was born into a musical family, studied voice in college and has sung with several major groups in the U.S. including the New York Choral Artists, Orpheus Chamber Singers and the Dallas Symphony. In addition to his regular work with RSVP, Paul J. is also the producer of Comedy Night at Aspen Gay Ski Week and appears at events all around the country.

Andy Anderson & Nathan Fry

Andy Anderson and Nathan Fry, two of San Diego's premiere performers, have been working together for more than 20-years.

Nathan, a San Diego native, is hailed as a genius in the San Diego musical world. He began his mastery of the piano and organ at the age of five. He played trombone and saxophone in school along with summer sessions at the Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts in Festival Choir and Stage Band. His undeniable talents have led to long term engagements at prestigious local San Diego venues such as Hotel Del Coronado, Loew's Coronado Bay Resort, L'Auberge Del Mar and Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Andy began his career at a relatively old age, although he claims to be younger now than he was when he started. After winning an audition with the San Diego Opera for a solo, A capella role in the nationwide premiere of Eugene Onegin, (Google it...it was a long time ago) he soon discovered the intimacy, joy and fun of piano bars and lounges. Since then, together with Nathan and a host of other talented musicians, he has performed at some of the most entertaining and acclaimed piano bars on the West Coast including; The Escape, The Little Shrimp, Tin Pan Alley, Street Bar in Palm Springs and, of course, the Inn at the Park . He has also sung the National Anthem for the San Diego Chargers three times: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uv7BrVZfS4I and recently came out (no pun intended) with his very first CD: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/andyanderson3. Andy's occasional clever banter (you can't always count on that light) and involvement with the audience blend with the impeccable accompaniment that Nathan supplies on the piano and keyboards. Together with the synergistic give and take of their complementary vocal ranges - Andy's a baritone with rich, resonant notes; Nathan's a tenor with crystal clear tones -they, seamlessly, bridge musical genres from jazz and blues, to pop and R&B, disco and country with, of course...show tunes. Voted Best Entertainers by San Diego's GLBT Nicky Awards, this duo brings down the house every Wednesday night at the historic Park Manor Suites Hotel. They are excited to perform their third time together on RSVP's 25th Anniversary cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. Andy IS Hawaiian so, be prepared for a few Hawaiian standards when you see them. Aloha and shaka bra!

DJ David B

While at the Saloon, the main gay bar in Minneapolis, he was told that the D.J. would like to see him. "The who?" David asked. Being so new to the club scene, David wasn't sure who "D.J." was and wondered why he wanted to see him. The stranger led him to the DJ booth, where DJ Jon Brown said to David, "Of all the people down there on that dance floor, YOU get what I'm doing up here in this DJ Booth. You should look into becoming a DJ."

This was a turning point, he found his beat and the journey of DJ David B began.

In the year 2000, David started going to the club faithfully and attending after hours, where DJs Jon Brown, Jon Herseth, Danny Shaffer and Joel Dickenson (Thee- Werkin-Bitches) showed him the ropes. While learning beat matching, song selection and working the mixer, David collaborated with others to bring in celebrity DJs and performers to the Twin Cities, while also using his art background to design promotional items for the events.

In 2003, David landed his first gig at the Starlite Lounge. From there he's DJ'd for several corporate events (Target Corp, Chipotle and Aveda), Twin Cities nightclubs (Spin, Bar Fly, Bolt Underground, Rumours and Saloon) and RSVP Cruises. Then, from the place it all began, the Saloon called on him to take on the residency Saturday night DJ gig!

DJ David B has EARNED his audience. Every Saturday a thousand fans come through the door at the Saloon, giving DJ David B nominations for "The Twin Cities Nightclubs DJ of The Year" four years in a row, and ranking in the top 5 on the DJ List, the World's Largest DJ Directory, for Minneapolis.

DJ David B always gives his best and delivers a solid set each and every time he spins.

Chi Chi

Named after her great-great-grandmother, Chi Chi Rones (Pork Rinds), a spitfire Latina was borned and raised in the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. At the tender age of 25, Chi Chi swam her way to LA after making a bundle selling Chiclets on the streets of TJ. Although it was hard leaving her sister Chiclets and Mexico behind, Chi Chi had a dream...to work for RSVP Vacations! This will be Chi Chi's 16th voyage with RSVP. After being discovered by winning the "swim suit pageant" in a seedy port back in 2000, she has set her sails with RSVP ever since!

Chi Chi has entertained thousands and bends over backwards to make sure that each and every passenger is satisfied! She looks forward to entertaining and chit-chatting with all of RSVP's guests on the Norwegian Pride of America Ship!

Gert Crawford

Gert Crawford has been entertaining RSVP cruisers since 2007. Gert started appearing in Philadelphia with her signature smile in the early 90's. She was never the pretty girl, but got tons of laughs from her down to earth, diner waitress humor. Gert realized early that sometimes gay men and women like a sassy, tall, big hair, overly made up, drag queen with a smart answer for everything and a smile on her face. For Gert, glamour has never been the key to her success. She carefully picks and chooses characters based on the party theme, location of the cruise, current politics or general humor that anyone would get a kick out of seeing. A sweep of blue shadow across her lid and a dot of pink lipstick and Gert is headed to the party with props in hand.

In 2010, Gert appeared at Lily Tomlin's Show dressed as Lily's most famous character, Ernestine. Lily was so impressed by the likeness, she invited Gert to the Green Room for a wine reception. Lily commented, "You do a better looking Ernestine then I do".

She was spotted on TMZ.com in June 2010 while driving and dressed as Attorney Gloria Allred at the Los Angeles Gay Pride Parade. With matching outfits and hair, the two looked like identical twins and garnered cheers from the crowd of nearly 400,000 people. They were later spotted at The Ivy having lunch with comedian Wayne Brady.

Gert was photographed at 172 South McCadden Place which is the famous home of the Hudson sister's in the film What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? Gert was a dead ringer as Baby Jane, with a deranged smile and glazed over eyes. While holding a life size Baby Jane Doll, Gert had local neighbors peering out their window to get a glimpse of this Hollywood icon. Gert added Blanch for the 2010 RSVP Caribbean cruise and had the crowd hysterical while pushing Blanch in her wheel chair across the deck and serving her a rat for din din.

Ms. Crawford works hard to produce her characters including the diner waitress, nurse, stewardess, cruise director, Joan Crawford, Betty Davis, Sara Palin, Gloria Allred and many others. Gert will be bringing some fun characters to the theme parties, so make sure you bring your camera and get a picture of this one of kind "lady".
