Embarkation Information
Civitavecchia is located about 70 km (1 hour and a half) from Rome. When you arrive in Rome at Fiumicino Airport (FCO) also know as Leonardo DaVinci Airport, you have several options for getting to the port. Transfers from Fiumicino Airport (Rome) are available from World Wide Shore Services. Contact them at 800.355.3023 (Inside US) or at +1 206.281.3535 (Outside US) to arrange for their services. You can also get to the port of Civitavecchia by taxi, bus, or train. Buses are available but pay close attention to the scheduled stops. The train is easy and fairly inexpensive option if you are going straight to the port, do not have a lot of luggage and are not staying a day or so in Rome. Tickets for the train can be purchased from machines or agents at the station. Check to see if you need to get your ticket stamped before boarding the train.
The Port of Civitavecchia is rather large so you can take a taxi from the train station or you can walk it. Walking will take you about 10 mins. The taxi is probably the best option if you have several bags. Once you are at the gate to the port you can try to catch a shuttle to the ship or walk the final 1 km. Travel safely and we'll see you on board.
